A Typical Dry Season Week

The Eastern Caribbean has settled into a pleasantly stable weather pattern this week, with conditions remaining true to what we expect during the dry season. Temperatures across the region have ranged from a low of 21°C70°F to highs around 31°C88°F, with most areas enjoying warm and comfortable daytime conditions.

Humidity levels have averaged 78 percent, which is fairly typical for this time of year, keeping the feel pleasant without becoming oppressive.

Moisture has been moving through the region in pockets, resulting in scattered light rain and brief showers rather than sustained wet periods. The wettest areas received only 11 mm0.4 in of rain over the seven-day period, while drier pockets saw minimal precipitation.

Winds have been moderate, with the strongest gusts reaching 41 km/h25 mph, providing enough breeze to keep conditions refreshing without becoming bothersome. Atmospheric pressure has remained steady around 1016 hPa30 in, indicating stable conditions with no developing systems.

This Week's Outlook

Looking ahead, expect the current pattern to persist through the coming days. Partly cloudy skies will dominate across the region, with periodic increases in cloudiness as those pockets of low-level moisture continue to move through on moderate to fresh easterly winds.

There remains a moderate chance of brief passing showers, particularly when cloud cover increases, but these should remain light and scattered rather than producing significant rainfall.

Seas will remain manageable for the time of year, with heights between 1.5 to 3.1 metres5 to 10 feet and swells reaching up to 2.1 metres7 feet. The Atlantic basin continues to show no tropical activity whatsoever, which is entirely expected during late February.

Temperatures should remain warm and steady, continuing to hover in that comfortable range we've seen this week.

Stay Weather-Ready

This is quintessential dry season weather for the Eastern Caribbean, and it's the kind of pattern we typically settle into once we move past the early months of the year. While brief showers may pop up here and there, there's nothing dramatic on the horizon.
