This morning, a frontal trough continued to linger over the islands bringing cloudy skies and passing showers over the leeward islands. Drier conditions prevailed over the bvi however a stratocumulus deck covered their skies. Radar imagery showed clusters of echoes moving over the leewards. Satellite showed bands of mainly layer type clouds moving over the region.

Another pre-frontal trough was analysed over the windward islands and appears to be merging with the front. Model guidance shows that the front will continue to linger over the area and produce periods light rain and showers over the leeward islands for the period. Drier conditions will continue to prevail over the bvi although the layer type clouds will dominate the skies.

Meanwhile, sea conditions will remain hazardous for the period as long period swells continue to affect coastlines. This is in agreement with the latest issued forecast and no amendments are required at this time.
