A shear line and its associated moisture and instability affected the area this morning. Cloudy skies and scattered showers were reported over and around the islands with current satellite and radar imagery along with station observations revealing that heaviest activity is confined between anguilla and antigua. Of note,

Based on comparative analysis the shear line appears to be relatively stationary. Looking ahead to the next 24 hours, models are suggesting that the shear line will remain the major feature. General cloudiness and showers are expected across the leeward islands, however, the shear line is expected to slightly oscillate, moving back and forth over the area. This movement will cause periods of enhanced shower activity to develop over different locations at varying times throughout the day, rather than affecting the entire area at once.

This is in general agreement with the current forecast and as such, no changes are required at this time.

Meanwhile sea conditions will remain hazardous mainly to beach goers where high surf warnings are in effect.
