Analysis: a ridge of high pressure is strengthening over the islands. As a result, more stable and settled conditions were observed across the leeward islands and the british virgin islands this evening. Current satellite and radar imagery support this, showing mostly clear skies with little cloud cover and only a few brief, light spotty showers across the area. Forecast: over the next 24 hours, model guidance suggests that periods of cloudiness and scattered showers are possible across the british virgin islands as a trough lingers near puerto rico.

Across the leeward islands, generally drier conditions are expected, with only a slight chance of brief showers due to embedded low-level patches moving along the trade wind flow.

Meanwhile, hazardous sea conditions are forecast to begin gradually subsiding. This is in general agreement with the current forecast and as such, no changes are required at this time.
