Latest from Antigua Met Office
Last updated: 2025-09-27 21:15 AST
Tonight, a weakened pressure gradient continues to produce light and variable winds across the area. Partly cloudy skies with very little to no shower activity was seen over the of the islands on satellite and radar. This was likely produced by daytime heating over the islands. Observations and model guidance shows that a moderate chance for showers and a possibility of afternoon thunderstorms tomorrow over the leeward islands and british virgin islands to a lesser extent.
Additionally seas will become hazadous due to long period swells impacting the northern and eastern coastlines. This is in general agreement with the latest issued forecast and no amendments are required at this time.

About “de wedda” website
de wedda is the Caribbean way of saying “the weather.” That’s the idea behind dewedda.com: to create a quick, no-nonsense snapshot of Eastern Caribbean weather, with concise forecasts for hurricanes, temperature, and rainfall.
I’ve lived in the Caribbean for most of my life, and when it comes to the weather, I’ve often wanted quick answers to three questions:
- Are there any active storms that actually matter to our islands right now?
- Where is the storm at the moment?
- How close could it get to my island—whether I’m home in St. Kitts, in Antigua, or visiting another island?
This site pulls official data and presents it simply: active storms relevant to our region, positions and distances/directions to each island (based on the capital), plus quick island weather. It’s built to be fast on mobile and updated hourly.
Note: This website does not replace the National Hurricane Center or your local meteorological services. Always follow official guidance and advisories from the NHC and your island’s Met Office.
